Your Journey is a 2D text adventure game, where you play as an adventurer to complete different missions. Levels will be granted for all the choices made in that game, and the character will face death at Lv. 100. The game offers a wide range of possibilities with only one ending scenario, which serves as an analogy of real life.
Our lives are often made up of various choices, and we will also pay the corresponding price for our choices. One of the eternal and unchanging truths is that we will always spend time in implementing our choices, and meanwhile we will accordingly accumulate experiences in these periods. If we take years as the unit of calculation, perhaps the happy birthday song is an upgraded sound effect for reminding us of growing up every year.
When I am about to leave the campus, I have to face many different choices, but at the same time, doubts about whether my past choices are correct also accordingly appears in my mind. I have already spent time in the choices I made before, and then I have to accept the new choices; moreover, I need to pay more prices if I choose once again. Basic concepts
The story of the game takes place in a virtual world. The inspiration of the world view design comes from the traditional fantasy game world of the warrior fighting the dragon, but it is somewhat having some differences. In this world, there are ordinary people and ordinary animals that can hardly use magic, as well as some magical creatures. Some of these magical creatures are naturally born species, and some are aggregates of elements. These elements include natural elements such as wind, fire, thunder and lightning, as well as some man-made elements such as beliefs born from human beings. When an element reaches a certain grade of activity in an area, it will begin to agglomerate into an entity. The shape of the aggregate depends on its element properties and the surrounding environment.
The stage of the game is an independent country in the world composed of an archipelago. In this archipelago, there is an island with volcanoes and a lot of magma. For a long time, fire element agitation gives birth to a fire dragon, and meanwhile the formation of fire dragon promotes the activity of fire element again. This phenomenon has even affected the ecology of the surrounding islands, making many animals become manic. At the same time, it has seriously affected the climate and endangered the living environment of residents on other islands. At this time, the first warrior stands up and defeats the dragon, so that the activity of fire element returns to normal level again. However, the environmental conditions have not been completely changed. Even if the fire dragon has been defeated, it will continue to gather and once again reanimate on the island where the fire element is active.
In the long history of confrontation, the country has gradually formed a tradition of cultivating new warrior in accordance with the cycle of fire dragon condensation and resuscitating. Each time when the fire dragon just has its own entity and in the most vulnerable period, the warriors defeat the fire dragon, which can ensure that the fire element agitation caused by the fire dragon will never threaten people's lives. The inspiration of this game story comes from the traditional story of the warrior fighting the dragon. The story of the warrior fighting the dragon under the background of Western fantasy has been widely spread in the world with various carriers since it was created. In the story, the warrior beat the dragon to rescue the princess, and finally succeeded and married the princess, which seems to be a kind of stereotype in a sense. But must every warrior follow such a choice? Must you be such a warrior? Then will the sense of justice of killing the Dragon be questioned by people? With this idea as a starting point, this slightly different world of the warrior and the dragon is formed.

In Your Journey, if a player completes a task and completes a game round of action, her Lv. will get increased. However, the Lv. in the game is not a simple grade, and it has attributes similar to the age. In the action, with the constant improvement of Lv., players will experience a complete life as an adventurer according to the general development curve of life.
The player was born in a country of archipelago, and there are dragons on Tumultus Island that are made up of fire elements. The growth of the dragon will make the fire element become restless, which will affect the climate of other islands and make it difficult for the people to continue to live on that island. Therefore, every 100 years, the country will send the warrior to kill the dragon, and the player is one of the right age warriors who grow up in this long reincarnation.
As a teenager, players will reach Obstans Island, learning and training as they grow up. After graduation, they will return to Voluntaria Island to continue their life. Players have to make different choices in different life development paths and experience a whole life journey.
Conceptual design
NPC
During the life-long journey, players can meet different people and spend time developing different relationships with them.
She is the heroine in the game, which is the role that the player will play. She is an ordinary girl born on the Voluntaria Island and one of the right-age citizens who may be trained as a warrior. The player can rename her, and according to the player's choice, she will choose a different profession and establish different social relationships with others. Players can also change equipment and clothing for her.
Dilectio
She is a girl of the same age that the heroine met on Obstans Island and get together with the heroine as the best same-sex friend of her later. She doesn't have much yearning for being a warrior and just hopes to live smoothly.
Inanis
A man, who lives in the same town as the heroine, is the same age as the heroine, met and became playmates with heroine through his parents when they are very young, often accompanying with the heroine.
Hemorus
The male who is slightly older than the heroine came to Obstans Island for training earlier than the heroine, and soon reached the position of the strongest fighting capacity among students of the same age.
Hephasestus
Man transformed from the fire dragon.The heroine will meet him after she enters the plot branch of turning the Dragon into a human. Although he has accumulated knowledge for a long period of time, he does not have the consciousness of thinking as a human.
Alligatus

2 Voluntaria Island
The enemies here are all demons that are mutated by the element of restless fire, and most of them are made up of rocks and bones of ordinary animals, which are hard to be called creatures, with great danger and irritable personality.

It is a kind of crab with a body full of magma and eyes on pincers.

3 Tumultus Island
Lacerta
The earliest and only native creature on the island, it has the appearance of a lizard. As the island's temperature rose after the appearance of the fiery dragon, they gradually begin to use rocks to protect the soles of their feet which directly contact with the ground and their fragile abdomen.
This is the nominally final boss of this work, which is a dragon shape creature condensed from the restless elements of fire. Because there is no intelligent creature in its place, it has no cognition of self and the world, with no malice and goodwill. Its present form is based on the shape of the only lizard that can be seen when it comes into the world.
Map
The country including three main islands: Obstans island, Voluntaria Island and Tumultus island. Each island have different building style and creature due to different environment.
Obstans Island is a place to train eligible children for becoming the warrior. This island is far away from the island where the fiery dragon lives, with good climate conditions which is suitable for children. Most of the island is covered with green vegetation, as well as rivers and lakes, and some less dangerous animals also inhabit on this island. The buildings are mainly made of wood. The buildings that you can visit include bars, blacksmith's shop, alchemy shops, dormitories and residences, as well as outdoor sites including river banks, valleys and forests.
Voluntaria Island, the main city of the country, has a hotter climate because it is close to the island where the fiery dragon lives. There are forests, grasslands and sand beaches on the island, and the animals on the island are generated variability and become more aggressive due to the influence of fire element agitation. In addition to all of the functional buildings at Obstans Island, there is a castle and a parent's home on the island. Besides, there are jungles, valleys, and beaches in outdoor sites.
The island where the fiery dragon lives is Tumultus Island. Dragons and mutant lizards affected by the restlessness of fire elements live here. No one will set foot on the land of this island except the warrior who wants to kill dragon.

Game mechanics
Before reaching lv.100, how players make choices and pass through these limited numbers of rounds, which is the core of Your Journey. In each time of game experience, players can experience three aspects of development: life line, career line and love line.
In addition to mainline tasks, players can also receive side missions from NPC. Players will lose props when they fail in battle. Players choosing the wrong option in an important conversation may cause the mission to fail. When a game round is over, the player will get a summary of this game round describing his achievements in each aspect of this part.
1 Life line
In Your Journey, the growth of Lv. is directly related to the growth of life stages, but this setting does not directly inform players in the game. Therefore, when the player reaches a certain grade, the system will force the player to complete life tasks to indicate them for the passing of time. When the player reaches the node where the life task needs to be completed, the player will not be able to take other actions unless they have completed the life task. Then they can continue their game.
2 Career line
The development of the career line is directly related to the world stories that players can explore. There are four professional lines, namely, the warrior, the blacksmith, the alchemist and the intelligence businessman. These four careers will lead to four different results. In the task line of each occupation, there will be tasks that are conditional on completing a certain task of other professions. Since the total number of game rounds of players is limited, players must choose among different occupation tasks, and cannot complete multiple career lines in the same game round. The only career line that players can directly complete is that of being warrior. The other three career lines need to be opened by accumulating enough career points by interacting with the corresponding career of NPC in the first stage of the game.

3 Love line
In the game, players can develop a romantic relationship with four male characters and choose to form a family with one of them. Players can give gifts to male characters or improve their likability value through dialogues during activities; when the likability reaches a certain value, male characters may give back player items when they meet players; when the likability value meets the requirements, players can choose whether to marry the male character when they reach a certain Lv. When a player marries a male character and has a child with him, they will accompany that player in the next life line mission.
